TYPES OF SERVICES
OFFERED:
Remote Monitoring &
Troubleshooting
Support provided via remote system access to a computer
within client network for purposes of troubleshooting problem,
or monitoring normal functionality (such as backup schedules and
logs). Services are provided on an hourly basis. Scheduled
weekly remote appointments are also performed for scheduled
clients. Remote monitoring and troubleshooting is highly
encouraged (instead of phone support). It is a much more cost
effective alternative to on-site visits and can generally be
scheduled and performed more quickly. Remote support is for
scheduled clients and provided to non-scheduled clients on a
limited basis. Ideally, for remote access, customer should have
a working high speed internet connection.
Network Installation and
Maintenance
Network installation includes the full service design
and implementation of the business network. We offer services
for all aspects of network installation, from planning, to
completion. Full maintenance of networks is available on either
a scheduled or as-needed basis. We work with the client to
determine the equipment needed, the ISP alternatives and
assist any other aspect of the network plan. However, we do not
do any actual cabling; all cabling is referred to an independent
contractors or is provided by the client.
Backup & Recovery Services
Full design and implementation of a backup system is
available. In the event of certain data failures, Our partner
services can recover data from backup media and restore to
proper location on computers or networks. It is the client’s
responsibility to actually perform backups during regular
working periods. (backups are checked during scheduled recurring
appointments). In some instances automatic web based backups may
be an alternative.
Employee Electronic Monitoring
Planning and implementation of procedures to monitor
activity of employees within a company for purposes of ensuring
company policies regarding computer usage and security are
followed. RB Balch does not perform the actual monitoring, but
may install software for the client and provide training in the
process.
Network/Computer
Hardware/Software Equipment Inventory
We offer complete, detailed computer related inventory
services which enable you to know exactly - down to the serial
numbers; what type of software & hardware are your computers,
servers, etc.
Scheduled Maintenance Services
Support can be provided on a recurring, scheduled basis. Options
are available for a cycle ranging from weekly to quarterly,
depending on client need. No contracts for scheduled
maintenance. Services are provided on an hourly basis (one hour
minimum). Emergency and off-hours support is available at
premium rates.
On-site Maintenance & Support
Support provided on-site on an as-needed basis. Services
are provided on an hourly basis (one hour minimum). Emergency or
after-hours support is available at premium rates Tasks
performed can include troubleshooting, complete workstation and
server setup, virus or spyware removal, date recovery,
evaluations, and more. Appointments may be “crisis” related, to
resolve a particular critical issue.
Site Evaluation Disaster
Planning
It is the detailed review, collection and documentation
of technology information in the client environment. The intent
is for assistance in the event of a disaster, in the event of
employee turnover or damage, insurance, and more. Information
obtained may also be used for troubleshooting, both on-site and
remotely. Areas reviewed include: Hardware, Software, Physical
layout, and Security. All information gained is delivered to the
client in a confidential report.
